Artist background
Jamie Primrose is one of Scotland’s most prolific and talented landscape, seascape and cityscape artists.

Born and brought up in Edinburgh, Jamie graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art from Newcastle University in 1994. Since returning home to become a professional artist in 2003, he has already hosted numerous sell-out art exhibitions in Edinburgh and London since then. His artworks can be seen in a selection of well-known galleries throughout the UK and in many exclusive private and corporate collections across Europe, the USA and Hong Kong.

Jamie was also a recent finalist for the prestigious Jolomo Lloyds TSB Scotland Awards 2007 for his outstanding artworks of the Scottish landscape. His original artworks are also in demand - since he is fully booked for private and corporate commissions for 2008, and is now taking bookings for original commissions for Spring 2009 and beyond.

Jamie was chosen by Scotland on Sunday’s Spectrum Magazine as one of their ‘Rising Stars’ in late 2006. He has since then attracted much press interest for his early success and potential as a prominent artist and has been featured in many publications, including The Times, The Guardian, The Scotsman, The Glasgow Herald, The Edinburgh Evening News, Scotland on Sunday, i-on Magazine and Homes & Interiors Scotland Magazine.
